7 Days Tour From Fes to Marrakech
DAY 1: Fez City Tour
We will transfer you from the airport to your hotel in Fez and then visit the new part of the city. We will see the artisanal and religious capital of Morocco. Fez is a cultural capital and focus of the Almohad. It is one of the imperial cities with the most interest in history and crafts and one of the largest medinas, Madrasas, the souk (spectacular for the quantity and variety of spices), Karauin, the oldest university in the world, the mosques, the squares, the Andalusian quarter and potters, palaces and museums. Fez is the artisanal capital of Morocco, during the night in the riad.
DAY 2: Fez – Merzouga
After breakfast, we will take the road to the Middle Atlas mountains. We stopped in the charming town of Ifrane which he named as Switzerland of Morocco. We crossed the great cedar forests. Further south, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains, we will arrive at Errachidia, where the first great travel palm appears. These create an oasis of vegetation ideal for growing all kinds of fruit trees and vegetables microclimate. We arrive at Erfoud, the economic capital of the Tafilalet region. In this area, fossils abound, testifying to the past covered by the sea. From here the asphalt disappears, the Saharan adobe tracks reach the village of Merzouga. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3: Merzouga
On this day we will explore Erg Chebbi more deeply. We visited the city of Khamlia, we discovered small towns and houses inhabited in unexpected places, far from civilization. We also visited the nomads who are there and will take us with them at night, and with camel ride to spend the night in the desert under the sky. Lodging in nomadic tendas in the desert.
DAY 4: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we will depart to Risani, ancient Sijilmassa, supply center for ancient caravans of the Sahara. We continue our journey through a semidesert landscape, we arrive at the oasis of Tinghir-possibly one of the most wonderful places in Morocco. Then we pass the Todra river, impressive gorges to reach more than 300m. We visit the village, we take the road from a thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, to reach one of the most important cities of southern Morocco, known for its intense and cinematic activities, having its credit movies as Gladiator, Troy, The Mummy etc. Visit of the Kasbah of Taurirt. We will enjoy dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
DAY 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, we take the road to Ait Ben Haddou, the queen of the kasbahs (UNESCO World Heritage). Later we will visit one of the most wonderful tracks in Morocco, Kasbah de Telouet, the ancient palace Glagui, Pacha Marrakech. We continue through the highest mountain pass in Morocco – Tzin Tichca (2,260 m) to reach the imperial city of Marrakech. We spent the night in riad.
DAY 6: Marrakech City Tour
After breakfast, we spent a full day of travel to explore Marrakech. Stories say that the city was inhabited by a tribe on the other side of the Atlas, with large supplies of dates, and bones, a palm was born. Called ‘the red city’ by the color of its walls and full of gardens, watered by underground wells (Khettaras), built by the Almoravids and Saharan nomads in the eleventh century. We will visit Menara, the Casbah, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia, the Majorelle Gardens and the souks, are some inevitable visits. A unique experience to discover the ‘Djemaa El Fna’ square where the life and activities of the city are concentrated: dancers, narrators, jugglers, artisans, merchants and snake charmers. We stayed in Marrakech and the night in Riad.
DAY 7: Marrakech – Airport
Free time until we transfer it to the airport before departure, and this will be the end of our services.
